Dakota State University has trained workers to "develop high level IT skills in rural communities to help meet the current IT worker shortage. The project will facilitate the creation of IT employment opportunities in the rural communities and enable rural residents to work for IT employers." Training is done via V-TEL conferencing. There are 8 communities who trained at one time once a week for 8 months.
